Dr. Arash Davanian is a fellowship trained ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataract surgery.

Dr. Davanian obtained his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. After completing a surgery internship at Brookwood Baptist Hospital in Birmingham, AL, he went on to finish his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.

Throughout his residency, he won five separate awards for his research specifically in glaucoma. This was presented at several local and national meetings. He scored above the 90th percentile nationwide on his Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program (OKAP) each year of his residency.

In his glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Vanderbilt University Medical Center, he has published numerous original articles, invited as a peer reviewer, written a book chapter, and written patient education pieces about glaucoma.

Dr. Davanian is skilled in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma. He performs microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), glaucoma lasers and traditional filtering surgery.  He is also adept at performing combined glaucoma and cataract procedures.

Dr. Davanian is available for consultation at both Glaucoma Center of Texas locations in Dallas and Rockwall. 

Outside of work, Dr. Davanian enjoys spending time with his family and first-ever pet. He enjoys soccer, swimming, rock climbing, hiking, and fishing. He is an avid sports fan and continues to be loyal to his alma mater, the University of Tennessee.
