Dr. Arvind Neelakantan

Dr. Arvind Neelakantan (Neel) is a fellowship-trained and board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of complex glaucoma and cataract surgery. Dr. Neel is extensively trained in glaucoma. He followed each of his residencies with a clinical fellowship in glaucoma at prestigious and world-renowned eye institutes: Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, India, Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, England and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Dr. Neel is able to offer his patients the latest available technologies for diagnosis and treatment of all types of glaucoma. He is skilled at performing minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), in addition to traditional glaucoma surgeries and combined cataract/glaucoma procedures.

Dr. Azra Idrizovic

Dr. Azra Idrizovic is a fellowship trained and board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical manage- ment of glaucoma and complex cataracts. Dr. Idrizovic obtained her medical degree at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to complete her intern- ship and residency training in Ophthalmology at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York, where she served as chief resident during her senior year. Dr. Idrizovic completed her glaucoma fellowship at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in South Florida. Throughout her residency and fellowship, she was involved in research pertaining to the evalua- tion and management of glaucoma filtering blebs as well as rates of patch graft erosion in patients with glaucoma drainage devices. Dr. Idrizovic was awarded a research support grant; she also went on to present her work at several national meetings including American Glaucoma Society and Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.

Dr. Arash Davanian

Dr. Arash Davanian is a fellowship trained ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataract surgery. Dr. Davanian obtained his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. After completing a surgery internship at Brookwood Baptist Hospital in Birmingham, AL, he went on to finish his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. Throughout his residency, he won five separate awards for his research specifically in glaucoma. This was presented at several local and national meetings. He scored above the 90th percentile nationwide on his Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program (OKAP) each year of his residency.
